Moulin Rouge Paris

The Moulin Rouge is probably the world's most famous burlesque nightclub. Immortalised in the Baz Lurhamn film "Moulin Rouge", starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, it still runs today. Located in Paris, the club offers a daily dinner dance cabaret show, which whilst being overly Euro tacky in places is still a fantastic experience for all fans of burlesque. Berlin

The setting for the musical Cabaret, Berlin has long been known for its edgy theatre and music scene. The mere mention of the city conjures up images of the freewheeling 20s and 30s – of Marlene Dietrich, and of clubs, where convention is left at the door. Now, Berlin is embracing a burlesque revival, lead by strippers, sword swallowers and singing mermaids.

One of the best places is Bar jeder Vernunft (Schaperstrasse 15). where you can experience caberet and striptease in the sensational Mirror Tent, which dates back to the 1920s.
